Ancient8 partners with Blast Royale, this blockchain game ushers in a new era

Ancient8 is pleased to announce our partnership with Blast Royale, a Battle Royale game for the Play to Earn generation.

Introduction to Blast Royale

Welcome to Blast Royale, a Battle Royale developed on the blockchain! Blast Royale is a decentralized gaming ecosystem, which you can actively participate in.

The project is part of a new generation of video games in which the user can earn cryptocurrency for their contributions to the ecosystem. These types of games are known as ‘Play and Earn’ and have recently grown in popularity thanks to the success of games such as Axie Infinity.

Blast Royale is a Battle Royale game for the Play to Earn generation. It’s fast, fun, frenetic and most importantly of all allows players the chance to earn money through playing. Using their team’s combined 100+ years of experience and pedigree in making games, it’s about time high quality games that are fun to play entered the Play to Earn landscape and Blast Royale is the first attempt to prove it!

We believe this game genre is highly enjoyable since players immerse themselves in a big open world and battle to be the last survivor. This is exciting to Ancient8’s community as it really makes them explore how they might react in a variety of contexts. Either eat or be eaten. The better you are, the more you win!

About Blast Royale

The game is being developed by the London-based First Light Games, a star-studded team that has worked on world-class titles such as Monument Valley, Fable, Street Fighter and Tomb Raider. There are two ways to play Blast Royale: free-to-play or by purchasing and equipping three NFTs that allow players to earn Craft Spice while playing matches.

The game uses two tokens, the primary token Blast (BLST) and Craft Spice (CS), the in-game P2E token of the Blast Royale Metaverse. BLST is used for trading NFTs on the Blast Royale marketplace and crafting new NFTs, whereas CS has numerous utility uses, including crafting and repairing equipment. Players earn CS by taking part in Blast Royale matches.

Blast Royale promises to challenge the conception of what blockchain gaming can be and is due for a global launch in the third quarter of 2022.
